      Its not about the photography really its about the birds. They do this stuff all the time and its a great privilege to be able to record just a small moment. We don’t travel far, preferring to work our small “patch” through the seasons. At the moment it is just about to become nesting season, so a whole new opportunity begins to happen. We don’t photograph birds on nest. But rather spend the time to work out where they are nesting and avoid going into that area. They need all the help they can get to produced a clutch. This lass (we call her Primrose), had at least 4 clutches last year. She lost one clutch (I think two chicks) to a flock of Ravens, and she managed to get about 7 young off in the course of the season. Not a bad effort.
